Note: to enable automatic EV charging with solar surplus energy (Solar Surplus Charging), an additional NexBlue Zen (Current Sensor) current sensor (product code: SN2) is required along with NexBlue 3-in-1 CT clamps (or, if you have a smart electricity meter with a HAN/P1 port – the NexBlue Zen Smart Meter adapter). These accessories are sold separately in our store, and their installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

NexBlue Edge 2 is a new generation home EV charging station designed for those who seek maximum power, smart capabilities, and future-proof technologies in a single device. This unit is an upgraded version of the Edge model, capable of delivering up to 22 kW of power to ensure fast and efficient EV charging on both single-phase and three-phase systems.

The charging station is designed for maximum ease of use and seamless operation. It not only charges your electric vehicle, but also smartly manages energy flows, adapting to the capacity of the home grid and current market electricity prices.

One of the device's greatest advantages is its readiness for future solutions. The charging station supports bi-directional charging, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), and Plug & Charge technologies, which in the future will allow your EV to not only consume energy, but also feed it back into the grid or use it for household needs.

The NexBlue Edge 2 features advanced energy optimization – the device automatically adjusts the charging speed based on current conditions to achieve maximum efficiency and prevent grid overload. It includes integrated dynamic load and phase balancing, which ensures optimal power distribution and can automatically switch between phases when needed. The station can also be connected to a NexBlue Zen to further expand dynamic balancing capabilities.

The station supports the use of surplus solar energy, allowing you to charge your electric vehicle using electricity generated by your solar PV system. The additional EcoPilot feature allows you to schedule charging during the cheapest electricity tariff hours, reducing operating costs even further.

You can manage the charging station via an app, which allows real-time monitoring of the charging process and energy consumption, as well as adjusting settings. The NexBlue Edge 2 also stands out with its high level of safety – it integrates a system of over 40 sensors that continuously monitor operation to ensure reliable and safe charging.
